In the ninety plus settlements are found small burial places of the early saints. The Historical Pioneer Research Group, Inc. continues its ongoing work to identify these last resting places through the use of ground penetrating radar.

The map below was created by Dr. Brandon Plewe of BYU for an upcoming book, Atlas of LDS History: Provo, Utah BYU. The map provides the most recent research on the whereabouts of settlements in the Middle Missouri Valley.  It is with Dr. Plewe's permission we share the map here. All rights are reserved no reproduction of this map may be made without the express permission of Dr. Plewe. More detail of this area and places in the history of the church can be found on Mormon Places Visit Here >
