  PROPERTY: Wells: Block 27, Lot 2 NAUVOO RECORDS: Members, LDS, 1830-1848, by Susan Easton Black, 11, P 142 Nauvoo Temple Endowment Register, p 282 DEATH: Obituary - Nauvoo Nauvoo, Ill. WELD -in this city, on Saturday, Aug. 26th inst., Mrs. Elizabeth Weld, wife of Dr. John F. Weld, in the 53rd year of her age. The deceased was born in the town of Groton, Tompkins, New York on 2 Aug 1813; moved west in 1841 to Bonaparte, Iowa, where she resided with her first husband, Stephen Rowe, until his death, 27 Aug 1842. She bore to her first husband four children, Nathan E. Rowe, of Banjor, Calif., Maryetta Rowe (d. 1867), Sidney Rowe, Mrs. George Edmunds (Electa Rowe), the latter two are of this city (Nauvoo). The deceased (Elizabeth Collins) moved to Nauvoo in 1843, and on 7 Apr 1855 was married to Dr. John Fuller Weld, who survives her. Some two or three years ago, the deceased with her husband became a resident of this city. Mrs. Weld was large-hearted, charitable and Christian woman, abounding in offices of kindness for kindred and neighbors alike; having abundant courage for the needs of every occasion of domestic duty or affliction, cheerful in adversity, uncomplaining in illness and pain, and at all times possessing a sublime faith in the encouragements and consolations of the religion she professed. The community tenders to Dr. Weld and other sorrowing relatives of the deceased its sincerest sympathies.
